Notes
Hydro Tasmania current fact sheet gives Butlers Gorge commissioned in 1951 and 12.2 MW; the Derwent scheme page currently lists 12.7 MW, indicating a discrepancy in published capacity figures. No plant-specific greenfield construction/investment cost was found in official owner/government sources, so capex was left blank rather than using a benchmark. Hydro Tasmania’s 2023 Tarraleah redevelopment article notes the redevelopment would decommission Butlers Gorge as part of the broader scheme, but that is a separate project and not a Butlers Gorge refurbishment cost.
