Every SMS costs us real money to deliver, unlike email. The Free plan includes 10 messages a month so you can see how useful they are — Pro lifts that to 500, which covers even a volatile month. Charging for SMS keeps the rest of NEMStats — live prices, generator stats, analytics, and email alerts — free for everyone.

On Free, alerts simply fall back to email until your 10 messages reset on the 1st of the month. On Pro, extra messages are 7c each with a spending cap you control — once you hit the cap, alerts fall back to email, so you never miss an event and never get bill shock.

Nothing changes for email alerts — they stay free. If you currently receive SMS notifications, we'll be in touch before any changes take effect, with a free trial period of Pro so you can decide if it's for you.

Yes — Pro is month-to-month with no lock-in. Cancel anytime and you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves back to the Free plan with your alerts intact (SMS switches to email).

Enterprise is shaped around your team: pooled SMS volume for on-call rosters, alerts that notify multiple people, REST API access to prices and generator stats, webhooks into your own tooling, and custom alert rules — for example FCAS price triggers or notifications when a new unit starts dispatching.
