Hornsdale Power Reserve was completed in two phases: 100 MW/129 MWh in 2017 and a 50 MW/64.5 MWh expansion completed in 2020, bringing total capacity to 150 MW. For battery O&M, the 2024 AEMO/Aurecon review indicates BESS long-term service agreements are not typically based on fixed/variable O&M; the closest published benchmark found was an annual fixed O&M of $4,800/MW-yr for the smallest large-scale Li-ion BESS case in the 2023/24 review.
